hi :] I'm Denise. I'm a Biologist-turned-Software-Engineer. I'm currently working as a mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer at Cargomatic. I'm comfortable working on the frontend or backend but I thrive most in the backend. I love optimizing and orthogonal architecture! I enjoy collaborating with others and sharing knowledge and writing documentation.
Before pivoting to tech, I lived in the Kalahari Desert as a wildlife researcher, sailed across the Bering Sea as a fisheries biologist, and worked as an environmental scientist in Los Angeles, CA.
